2D Workspace

Another necessity is making sure our view is set to 2D. This way we do not have to worry about positioning objects in the Z-axis and can rely on a 2D plane (X- and Y-axes) and sorting to design our game.

Running along the top of the Scene View is the Scene View control bar (Figure 3.2). When we built our Project, we defaulted the workspace to 2D. This should have toggled our Scene View to 2D. You can easily check and swap from 2D to 3D in the Scene View by either left-clicking the 2D toggle button or by simply hitting the number 2 key (in the horizontal number keys that run along the top) on your keyboard.
