Understanding the New Rules of the New Web

When any user can post content on a site and anyone can respond to and edit that content, it changes the rules in many ways. Leaders who understand this changing landscape are using the new Web to help people connect and collaborate in powerful ways. Those who don’t get it are being bypassed. According to Gary Hamel (2009), one of our country’s most influential business thinkers, the new Web reflects “post-bureaucratic realities” that leaders must understand if they want to attract and retain the Web-savvy generation now entering the workplace.
