Now that you understand the various types of data stored in UDDI and the general categories for the data, you can examine the various SOAP message calls the UDDI API provides. The UDDI API consists of three main parts: inquiry, publishing, and replication.

The inquiry API is for clients who want to locate businesses, services, or contact information. It provides methods to perform general searches, as well as specific queries for a known item.
