Distributing Your Spreadsheet Online

You might’ve heard about this thing called the Internet—it’s a pretty big deal. The Web and email have of course become essential ways to share documents of all kinds, and Numbers offers a few options for getting your document online and into the mix quickly. Apple’s iWork.com service offers a convenient way to review and collaborate on documents with a group, and the Share menu offers a pair of options to quickly catapult your document over to Mail and iWeb for email and website publishing.

Sharing on iWork.com

When you’re ready to share a budget plan with a group of colleagues, a team roster with your soccer team, or a census of the city’s monsters with interested heroes, iWork.com makes for a convenient online venue. The Web-based service is built right into Numbers and lets your group of invited reviewers check out your spreadsheet online, add comments, or download the document in a variety of formats.

  1. Open the spreadsheet in Numbers and choose Share → “Share via iWork.com”.
