The 3DPOLY Command

The 3DPOLY command produces three-dimensional polylines. 3D polylines are not as versatile as the standard (2D) polylines produced with the PLINE command because they can contain only straight-line segments with continuous linetype and no width information. They are more versatile than 2D polylines, however, because their vertices can be placed in 3D space. That is, you can draw them with a non-zero Z coordinate in addition to the required X and Y coordinates. 3D polylines are discussed in more detail in Chapter 28, “Drawing in 3D in AutoCAD.”
