Faces and Places

Faces and Places are two great features of iPhoto. With Faces, you can have iPhoto find all the photos in your gallery that contain that Face (person). Places allows you to keep track of all the great locales you visited on your travels. Before you can avail of these two features, though, you have to set them up to work—so let's start with setting up Faces.

Exploring Faces

The first step is to get iPhoto to recognize faces and associate them with an individual. Here's how:

  1. Import your photos. Click on the photo that contains the face you want iPhoto to recognize.
  2. Click on the Info button on the bottom of your workspace.
