The previous parts of the handbook have presented the foundation, process, interventions, and measurement and assessment of human performance technology (HPT). The emphasis in this part of the book turns to improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and conduct of HPT practitioners. Improving HPT practice was a goal of the first two editions of the handbook; that goal has not changed with this edition. Part Six continues supporting practitioners by presenting chapters that both inform our work and provide, for some of us, new professional goals.
