Chapter 22. Adding Effects

Before continuing on, there are a couple of additional features that are considered miscellaneous. These features are being called effects because they are unique from the other tools.

The Fog effect adds a layer of fog over the top of the drawing, causing all objects to become brighter. The Section Plane effect lets you cut and display the interior of a model.

Adding Fog to the Scene

The Fog effect is useful for casting a light or heavy fog over the entire drawing. One of the benefits of this effect is that you can set a scene with fog and another without fog and animate between them. Using fog in this manner can be used to slowly fade out a current drawing.

Fog is applied to the current drawing using the Fog panel, shown in Figure 22.1. Choose Window

Fog can be turned on and off using the Display Fog option in the Fog panel. You can also choose View
