Synopsis

The Online Collaboration submenu provides options for communicating about a workbook online using either Microsoft NetMeeting or Web Discussions.

Meet Now

The Meet Now option allows you to create an online meeting where you can allow others to view and modify your workbook in real time using Microsoft NetMeeting. When you select Tools Online Collaboration Meet Now, NetMeeting opens and displays the Place a Call dialog, shown in Figure 8-14. You need to select the Directory you want connect to and then select the users that you want to invite to your meeting. Remember, the individuals you invite must be currently running NetMeeting, or you will not be able to invite them to the meeting.

When you select the Directory you will notice that there are several different Microsoft directory servers that you can select from. Microsoft provides these for general use, but they are typically rather busy. If you are using an internal corporate server within your organization for NetMeetings, you can check with your System Administrator to determine the name of the directory server you can connect to internally.
