Final remarks

Abstract

The design of a good support system depends on the availability of data throughout the life cycle of the engineering system that the support service is going to be provided. When data is transformed into knowledge, irrespective of whether it is explicit or tacit, the knowledge should be integrated with the systems’ lifecycle. This chapter recalls and highlights this concept.
