Sharing Photos with EasyShare

Kodak’s photo service has two parts. There’s the EasyShare software (Section 5.2.1) that runs on your computer, where you organize and edit your photos, and there’s EasyShare Gallery (http://www.kodakgallery.com) where you share your photos online and order prints. Once you’ve created your online photo album(s) you pick the photos you want to share. Then, with the Gallery’s help, you send out email invitations. When your friends receive the invites, all they have to do is click a link and they’re taken right to your pictures.

Selecting Photos to Share

To share photos via the EasyShare Gallery, you first need to upload your pictures to the Gallery (see Section 5.3.7 for full details on how to do that). Once your photos are online, you can share entire albums, or combine photos from one or more albums into a slideshow. Log into the EasyShare Gallery, and then follow these steps:

  1. At the top of any Gallery page, click the Share Photos tab (Figure 14-3).

    You see a new page with your albums listed in a column on the left. At right, a heading says Your Slideshow. At first it’s empty, but you’ll fill it up as you add photos for your show.

  2. In the albums list, select the albums you want to share.

    The words “This album will be shared” appear under each album you select. The selected albums also show up in the Your Slideshow list (Figure 14-3).
