Chapter 2. Business Strategy/Organizational Needs

The primary purpose of developing leadership talent is to help an organization meet its strategic goals. Starting with a review of an organization's strategy documents often will provide a lens for identifying development needs at both the organizational and individual levels. Additionally, at the individual level, a direct link can be made to the leadership competencies your organization requires (more about that in Chapter 4).
