Share a Personal Folder You Create

At this point, you should have all of your data organized in default folders, libraries, or Public folders. However—and I heave a large sigh here—if you still have personal folders that contain data, and you want to share that data, you can. Sigh again.

CAUTION

You should never share your C: drive. It would be best never to share your My Documents, My Pictures, and other personal folders. It’s always good to keep some things private, and you’ll need a place to put sensitive data.

You share a personal folder the same way you share a library:

1. Right-click the folder to share, and choose Share With | Specific People, as shown earlier in Figure 4-9.

2. Click the arrow to see what people you can add.
