Incorporate Libraries

Libraries are new to Windows 7 and offer access to both your personal files and Public ones. You know that. But you can also tell Windows to look at other folders when amassing data for a library. This means that if you have a folder on your Desktop named My Personal Files, you can tell the Documents library that you want to include that folder in it. Then, when you open your Documents library again, you’ll have access to My Documents, Public Documents, and My Personal Files.

You can also create your own library. This means that you can stray from the Documents, Pictures, Videos, and Music libraries you’ve grown to love, and add others of your own, like My New Invention, Travel, Kids, or Pets. (In a Pets library you could ...
