About the CD-ROM
The CD-ROM included with DB2 Version 8: The Official Guide contains a copy of DB2 UDB Personal Edition v8.1.2 for Windows. This product is provided in “Try and Buy” mode. Once the product has been installed, it will continue to operate for 180 days. To use this software past the 180-day period requires a DB2 license, which is not provided. For further information, please refer to Appendix A.
