High Dynamic Range (HDR) Imaging

HDR photography can produce eye-popping images by blending multiple photographs (see Chapter 1). Though the iPhone 4 includes built-in HDR capabilities, other iPhone models do not, and even iPhone 4 owners may prefer the HDR results from Pro HDR (eyeApps; $1.99), which blends two photos of a scene to produce an HDR image (see Figure 4-36). Because you’re using two images of the same scene, you need to keep the camera steady; objects in the foreground, in particular, may appear blurred if there’s any camera movement from one image to the next.
