Chapter 1. PC hardware

The Personal Computer (PC) Hardware domain covers approximately 40 percent of the A+ 220-801 exam. The first domain covers hardware components extensively and requires technicians to have a good understanding of computer hardware. This includes the motherboard, memory, expansion cards, disk and other storage media, the central processing unit (CPU), connection types, power supplies, monitors, and peripheral devices that connect to computers.
