Windows 7 System Performance and Optimization
Windows 7 went beyond Windows Vista in configurability and allows you choose between four UAC settings:
- Always Notify
- Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer (the default)
- Notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer (do not dim my desktop)
- Never Notify
To access the Change User Account Control settings, click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Change User Account Control settings. This opens the slider shown in Figure 14-18.
