While the “triple play” is one of the rarest accomplishments in the game of baseball, multi-channel television providers are trying to make their own triple play as common as a ground ball to short. By providing television, high-speed Internet, and phone products—a trio of essential consumer services—companies such as Comcast, AT&T, and DirecTV are hoping to capitalize on consumer desire for bundled discounts and one-stop shopping.
