JEREMY PACKER: There is a passage on the last page of Speaking into the Air which claims “no profession of love is as convincing as a lifetime of fidelity.”1 You also state that “touch is no cure for communication trouble: it is just more primal but equally intractable.” Both seem to imply a means of connecting, perhaps a material means, that may or may not imply communication.
