Cabling the Router

In Chapter 9 you learned about the major cable types. The cable covered in that chapter that will most often be used with routers is Ethernet twistedpair with RJ-45 connectors. These cables can be used to connect routers to switches and to other routers. There are several other cables and connectors you must also be aware of that can be used from router to router and from a router to a WAN connection.
