IPv4 BGP Authentication
To configure BGP authentication between two neighboring BGP neighbors, enter the neighbor neighbor-ip password key command in BGP router configuration mode on each router.
Example 17-13 shows a BGP authentication configuration for an IPv4 network, the topology for which is provided in Figure 17-8.
