Configuration Steps

The following steps provide an example of simple server load-balancing configuration:

1. Define an access list to allow traffic on interface.

2. Define real servers.

3. Create a server farm.

4. Create a policy map of type load balance and assign the server farm to the appropriate class.

5. Define a class map for the matching VIP.

6. Define a policy map of type multimatch and assign the load balance policy map created in Step 4 to the appropriate VIP class map created in Step 5.

7. Configure a VLAN interface with an IP address, apply the access list created in Step 1, and apply the service policy created in Step 7.
