Utilizing Cisco UCS Service Profile Templates for Different Workloads
The use of Cisco UCS service profile templates enables you to consistently apply resource pools and policies to different workloads or application requirements in your data center. A good example is the vNIC requirements for physical servers versus virtual machine host servers, where they would require consistency in terms of resource pool assignments but would differ in terms of policies and number of vNICs required. Table 15-3 shows an example of different applications and workloads that can be addressed via multiple Cisco UCS service profile templates.
