Fabric and Adapter Port Channel Architecture
We discussed Fabric Port Channels in the preceding section; essentially, that’s the capability to create port channels between the Cisco UCS 6200 series Fabric Interconnects and the Cisco 2200 series I/O modules. Here we briefly explain adapter port channels, which is not a visible link but implicit internal 10 G (10GBASE-KR) connections between the adapter on a blade server and the Cisco 2200 series I/O module. Figure 13-40 shows the architecture of port channels between blade, I/O module, and Fabric Interconnects.
