It’s All About the Eyes
When photographing people, I almost always try to highlight my subjects’ eyes. The eyes allow the viewer to connect with your subject in a much more intimate and meaningful manner (Figure 8.18). It is also much easier to capture emotions such as happiness, sadness, anger, despair, and hope through an individual’s eyes (Figure 8.19). People tend to try to hide their emotions, but eyes rarely lie.
