There Is No Such Thing as “100 Percent Agile”

There seems to be this idea that there is a “gold standard” regarding what constitutes agile. If you meet the standard, then you’re “100 percent agile.” I’m guessing some of this thinking stems from the Extreme Programming (XP) world in which there is a list of “rules” documented as part of the XP approach,1 and some folks may take the term “rules” to mean they cannot be broken.
