Web Forms provides seven built-in rich data controls. These controls can be useful when you are working with data and want to use the Web Forms data-binding features.

As we go through each control, you will start to notice some overlapping functions. Different controls can display data in similar ways, or support templates in such a way that you can easily create the same effect. Most of the time, it doesn’t matter which control you use, so just pick the one that you like the best.
