Enabling the Web Server Role
The first step is to enable the Web Server (IIS) role on Windows Server. Open the Server Manager tool, and select Add Roles from the Rules Summary section, as shown in Figure 32-1.

The Add Roles Wizard will start. You will see a list of available roles (the set of roles depends on which edition of Windows Server 2008 R2 you are using). Check the box for the Web Server (IIS) role and click the Next button. Continue through the wizard until you reach the list of role services that are available for the Web Server (IIS) role.
