App Icons
App icons or app shortcuts are simple buttons that launch an app. You can find all of them by tapping the App Launcher button on the right side of the Action bar. However, there are probably apps you use more often and want to add to your Home screen. Sometimes apps automatically place an app icon on your Home screen when you download them, and you may want to remove a few to save screen real estate.
The good news is this: the fact that that you can now add, remove, and reposition widgets means you can do exactly the same thing with app icons. The process is almost exactly the same.
