Three i’s of collaborative discovery

There are three pillars of focus that will help you in your agile discovery. These align to the different stakeholders in the project:

• Business intentions

• Customer insights

• IT implementation

As a designer, you’ll probably be comfortable with customer insights, but you may not be used to thinking about intentions and implementation. This is because we tend to work in functional silos.

Agile experience design provides a means for breaking down these silos, starting projects with a short period of collaborative discovery to get all your ducks in a row: business, design, and IT (6.1).
