7. Lolly’s Restaurant1

Roger unlocked the door and entered the familiar scent of donuts, hamburgers, and coffee that was the trademark of Lolly’s Restaurant. As the light flickered on and the employees trickled in, Roger made his morning inspection before the breakfast rush. Roger greeted Gwen, the hostess, and made sure that the breakfast menus were in place at the podium.

Lolly’s served two meals only, breakfast and lunch. Opening at 6:00 a.m., Lolly’s was ideally located on a heavily traveled commute route toward downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
