5. Model/View Delegates

This chapter covers model/view delegates, and assumes a basic familiarity with Qt’s model/view architecture, as described at the beginning of Chapter 3 (88 image).

All of Qt’s standard view classes—QListView, QTableView, QColumnView, QTreeView, and QComboBox—provide a QStyledItemDelegate for the display and editing (in the case of editable models) of the data they access.*

* Qt also has a QItemDelegate class but this was superceded from Qt 4.4 by QStyledItemDelegate.
