CHAPTER TWOCreating Web Pages

In Chapter 1, “Creating a Web Site,” I emphasized the importance of starting out by creating a Web site in Dreamweaver. If you’ve done that, you’re ready to start designing Web pages in Dreamweaver’s Document window.

The Document window is the basic workspace in Dreamweaver. The Document window is where you design Web pages. In the Document window, you can open many pages at a time and edit them. You use the Document window to create or paste text, embed images, define links, place and sometimes create page elements like style sheets (that control the look of a page), input forms, embed animation, and create interactive objects (that react to actions by a visitor).
