Many people think of Web design in terms of simply creating a Web page. However, before you start designing Web pages, you should define a Dreamweaver CS4 Web site. Defining a Web site before you create pages allows Dreamweaver to connect your Web pages to each other with links. It makes it possible to embed images or other content (like media) in pages. When you move or rename a Web page (or any file in your site), Dreamweaver updates any links that are affected by that change. And, your Dreamweaver Web site can manage (usually one, but sometimes more) style sheet files that control the formatting of multiple pages across a site.
