Amazon QuickSight—a low-cost cloud analytics service for ad hoc data analysis, data visualization, dashboards, and data storytelling—allows you to quickly get insights from your data, and your QuickSight visualizations, dashboards, and stories can be shared with anyone, anywhere via the web, native mobile apps, or even embedded views in applications.

Analytics expert Jen Underwood shows you how quick and easy it is to get started with modern cloud analytics using Amazon QuickSight. After discovering how to load and connect to a variety of data sources and reviewing available options for data cleansing, preparation, and transformations, you’ll learn how to get insight into your data using interactive visualizations, dashboards, and stories and how to share your newly created analytical assets with colleagues. Jen then demonstrates how to take your analytics further with simple streaming and machine-learning integrations.

  • Jen Underwood is a recognized analytics industry expert. She has over 20 years of “hands-on” development of data warehouses, reporting, visualization and advanced analytics solutions. In addition to keeping a constant pulse on industry trends, she enjoys digging into oceans of data. Jen is honored to be an IBM Analytics Insider, SAS contributor, former Tableau Zen Master, and previously held worldwide product management roles at Microsoft. Today she is an active analytics community member and founder of Impact Analytix, LLC.

    Jen has a Bachelor of Business Administration – Marketing, Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and a post-graduate certificate in Computer Science – Data Mining from the University of California, San Diego.
