20.1. Components of WBI message broker on z/OS

The WBI message broker architecture manages the modelling of the application connectivity and integration operations using message flows and nodes, and the modelling of message structure to enable processing within these nodes.

The Broker is the run-time environment that assigns units of execution (threads) to message flows to process messages. It takes the models and realizes them as concrete implementations. The primary objective of the broker is to achieve consistency at the application layer.
