Personal Assistants

There are jobs—many that are quite high paying—where an assistant handles just the personal aspects of his or her boss’s life. These assistants often travel with their bosses to various homes around the world, hire and fire their household staffs, handle all their personal finances, and even order their wardrobes. Many work for high-profile celebrities, politicians, and philanthropists, and are well rewarded with perks and salary.

The difference, however, is that these assistants have a clear-cut job description that outlines the various aspects of the job. Their expectations are clearly defined and agreed upon at the relationship’s outset. I have heard many fun stories from these high-flying assistants who must sign confidentiality agreements (of course). Though they can be extremely demanding, these positions are never dull!
