However, if you fail in your sincere efforts to transform your functionally impaired boss, take my father’s advice whenever my sister and I complained about a boyfriend: “Put your track shoes on, kid.” Find yourself another job with a boss who respects you for the professional you are.
And for the abusive boss: stop being the Boss from Hell because your assistant may one day write an exposé on you and you will find yourself up there on the wide screen. As Jerry Seinfeld used to say, “That can’t be good!”
