Why Do We Gossip?

Perhaps it is due to one’s natural (though misdirected) desire to be accepted by others. Few among us are immune to the temptation to tell what someone else is eager to know, especially if we want to impress or please that person. Plus, we all have a tendency to want to be “in the know.” Besides, we hear just enough dead-on accurate skinny about what’s really going on in the company to stay connected to the grapevine. What’s worse than being connected to the gossip net? Not being connected to it!
