No. There are many “public” audiences, and you cannot presume that any of them will respect the information that is critical to your company. The problems stem from what others do with the information they know (or think they know). Just ask any candidate who has run for public office or any celebrity, sales manager, or research scientist how painful it is when others take your information and use it to put you in a defensive or catch-up position.
