A New Version of American Life
My daughter walks into the kitchen before school and says, “Dad, let’s watch Good Mythical Morning together. It’s my new favorite show.” I’m a little startled since, her being 14 and all, I’m not exactly cool to her anymore—if I ever was. So I jump at the chance to bond a bit and head toward the family room.
She turns on the TV, navigates to the show, and we start watching. I’ve got to admit; it’s really funny. Two guys (as I discovered, they were the comedy duo Rhett & Link) comedians like the old-school duos of Andy Griffith and Don Knotts or Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. The show ended after just 12 minutes, which was a little odd, so we watch another one. I’m hooked.
