Chapter 19. Million Dollar Questions
Yesterday I was participating in a conversation, and a woman said, "I stayed in bed all day. The house was such a mess that I just couldn't face it."
How did the house get in such a mess? Did gremlins sneak in and trash her house? Did small children crawl out from behind her furniture when she wasn't looking and make messes?
Somebody else asked her, "Have you considered just cleaning your house?"
She looked at them with wide-eyed amazement. It hadn't occurred to her that she could actually clean up the mess she had made, and thereby allow herself to get out of her bed and actually live her life.
