Recording an Acoustic Guitar in Cubase from Multiple Sources

First, place your mic and stand so that they are positioned appropriately. (Refer to the “Recording Acoustic Instruments” section earlier in this chapter for discussion of mic placement, and refer to Chapter 5 for guidance on setting up a mic stand.) Keep in mind that room noise (ambience) will be captured along with the sound of the guitar. This means you’ll need to follow the same basic rules as if you were recording a vocal performance.

Next, follow the same setup procedures as described in Chapter 5. You can use the same walkthroughs to record acoustic guitar with effects or monitor the guitar with effects.
