Personal Testing

Personal testing is a different matter. It could give you more trouble, especially if you fail to recognize it for what it is. It may come from someone your own age or someone much older or younger. It may come from a fellow worker or from someone in management. You might be wise to start out with the attitude that everything is teasing rather than testing. Then, if it doesn’t last long, you have automatically solved the problem.

But if the teasing continues for a long period of time, you will know that it is personal testing and that it is probably the product of a prejudice or genuine hostility.
