A few organizations, like factories, have no personal appearance or grooming standards. They are interested primarily in your work performance and your human-relations ability.

Other companies, especially those that do business directly with customers, set minimum standards that are usually easily met by most employees. Still other companies, like department stores, have rather high personal and grooming standards that may be difficult for some people to accept.
