Chapter 12. Restoring Injured Relationships

“Some relationships are not worth saving.”

Thought for the Day: Negative thoughts and actions are like toxic waste. Unless they are recycled into something positive, they can be detrimental to you and to everyone around you.

No matter how skillful one becomes at building healthy and rewarding human relationships, such relationships can easily be damaged through insensitivity and misunderstanding by either party. Human relationships are fragile. Once an injury occurs, the restoration process can be like walking on glass barefooted; it can be difficult—even challenging—but not impossible.
