Protect Yourself So It Won’t Happen Twice

Some people will step on your attitude once and, if they get away with it, will step on it again. The behavior of some people is such that they are either insensitive to your needs or they do not give you the respect you deserve. Some supervisors are this way. Some family members or co-workers are this way. In these situations you need to protect your attitude by standing up for yourself, isolating yourself from the individual, or using other techniques to open up a two-way discussion with this person so that you and your attitude will be treated with respect and sensitivity.
