The saying “Go home when the job is done” is true in any business. Every day there is a certain amount of work that needs to get done. The work can be internal work or client work; if you are doing your job right, you will know what that work is.

When you are managing a client, it is essential that your client work never fall behind. Falling behind is the kiss of death with a client. Establish a work plan and share it openly with your team and the clients. Stick to it and get the work done. Don’t allow yourself to get distracted.

The old motto is true; go home when the work is done—and not one minute before.
