Politics exist inside every client’s organization, just as they do in your company. It is important to get a handle on your client’s political hot spots as well as on who dislikes whom. Who gets along with whom? Who is politically dangerous? Friends or enemies? Opportunity or threat? And then remain as neutral as possible.

As a supplier, you must be Switzerland. You do not want to be seen as an ally to any particular camp. That will make you a target for others and limit your ability to be truly successful.
